Senior Test Engineer

Minimum General Experience:  Individual possesses at least 10 years specialized experience in DOD testing at all program acquisition levels for Program Officers and major commands. 

 

Major Responsibilities:  Actively manages test programs of various systems.  Develops schedules, coordinates support requirements and generates correspondence for all levels of the materiel acquisition process.  Develops, obtains coordination and approvals, presents, and defends the customer positions at decision meetings throughout the acquisition community.  Analyzes risk assessment and safety information to prepare safety releases and safety confirmations on tested items.  Serves as a senior Test Program Manager and expert consultant supporting the customer.  Has responsibility for managing, coordinating, reviewing, and providing broad engineering/technical advice relative to the overall test and evaluation effort associated with a broad category of military vehicles, weapons systems, small arms, missiles and related military equipment.  Advises on concepts, designs, and quality of developmental programs.

Minimum General Experience:  Individual possesses at least 10 years advanced professional experience characterized by progression in complexity, difficulty, variety, and degree of independence of work assignments in staff, assignments in the test and evaluation community.  Possesses experience directly related to aspects of modeling and simulation or digital instrumentation systems.

 

Major Responsibilities:  Serves as a senior engineer in support of customer modeling and simulation activities.  Responsible for review and analysis of research activity to enhance modeling and simulation.  Reviews plans and programs and participates in the development of new projects designed to support the customer.  Participates in meetings in support of the Modeling and Simulation and prepares agendas, minutes, and briefing materials.

Software Engineer

Minimum General Experience:  Individual possesses at least 10 years advanced technical experience in the area of software development and testing of its technical capabilities and functionalities.

 

Major Responsibilities:  Individual directly supports the Senior Test Engineer to develop and execute Total System test and evaluation plans that integrates system hardware and software.  Serves as Technical Expert for system software integration and testing.  Provides theoretical and practical programming.  Serves as Technical Expert for test and evaluation of software and firmware to include updates and patches. Responsible for the monitoring development, and test and implementation of system security vulnerabilities.

 

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

 

Test Engineer

Minimum General Experience:  Individual possesses at least 8 years specialized experience relevant to development, test and evaluation of Department of Defense weapon systems and equipment.

Major Responsibilities:  Support role that manages test management databases for customer through input of project schedule data provided by test managers.  Writes, edits, and prepares presentations of technical information for both technical and non-technical personnel.  Keeps test managers informed of upcoming/overdue milestone events for projects under division management.  Provides summary reports of data base queries. Reviews outgoing technical documents for accuracy/completeness as prepared by test managers and assures that technical documents are archived in electronic and hard copy form.
